Penguin Tag with the Holly & Ivy Christmas Challenge

Good morning,

Hope it's a nice day wherever you are.  Here in the North of Scotland we are having what we call locally a 'dreich' day.  It just means it's grey, damp and showery - not necessarily heavy rain just the kind of day when you'd rather cosy up indoors than venture out.  Luckily I'm on holiday just now so I don't really have to go anywhere unless I want to!

Today I'm sharing a tag I made for the Holly and Ivy Christmas Challenge which starts today.  As always our theme is anything Christmas goes - why not join us and get organised as Christmas is starting to feel quite close now!

For my tag I used a Crafters Companion penguin die set that I bought in the sales a while back and have never got around to using.  I also have a cute wee reindeer so look out for that one appearing soon too!

Materials used:
Penguin die set - Crafters Companion
Snowflake die - Hobbycraft own brand
Patterned papers - Simply Creative, Jolly Christmas
Label letters - TimHoltz
Tag, button, twine, gems, etc all from stash

Thanks so much for popping by, it's much appreciated.

Hugs,
Shona xx

Meet The Craftellas with JMC Designs

Good afternoon,

I've hopped back on my blog to share a card and to let you know that JMC Designs are launching a fantastic new Crafting themed collection on Hochanda this afternoon called the Craftellas and there's loads more besides including some new additions to the Stamplementals range and some gorgeous handmade paper from Dolly Dimples.  I'm so lucky to be part of Julia's design team and get a chance to have a play with all these fabulous products!

This Crafty Diva is Sally Stitch and I've added a patchwork effect background using some of the amazing Craftella papers.  You can see all this and more on Hochanda at 3pm and 7pm UK time and why not join us on the JMC's Crazy Craft Hive Facebook Group for some crafty banter!

All products from JMC Designs except buttons, twine and cardstock.  Image coloured with Promarkers.

Bye for now, hugs,

Too Cute To Spook With The Cutie Pies

Good morning,

Hope everyone is doing well, I've been missing in action again, as usual life gets in the way.  I'm still crafting just not always getting a chance to blog.  I'm posting a lot more on Instagram especially these days, I would love to see you there if you have an account.  Having said that I do enjoy blogging and entering challenges so I must make more of a effort and take the time to do it.

I'm happy to say I'm on holiday this week, I've had a busy spell at work in recent weeks so I'm looking forward to some down time.  Obviously with the current covid situation we've no plans to go anywhere and the weather looks pretty brutal anyway but there's plenty little jobs to be getting on with at home.

So on to my card and it was my turn to host the Cutie Pie Challenge.  The theme I've gone for since we're getting close to Halloween is Too Cute To Spook!  We are sponsored by Di's Digi Downloads who have a fantastic prize for the lucky winner.  I've used one of their super cute designs for my DT card.

Materials used:
Digital Stamp - Batty Bear, Di's Digi Downloads
Promarkers
Patterned paper - Happy Haunting, Graphic 45
Label letter stickers - Tim Holtz

That's all from me at the moment, I hope I'll pop back a bit later to share some other things I've been working on.

In the meantime, thanks for visiting, crafty hugs,
Shona xx

Happy Birthday with the Cutie Pies

 Hello!

Well I eventually made it back to blogland.  I'm not going to bore you with all my trials and tribulations I will just say that once again LIFE has got in the way as it so often does!  I am trying to make the most of every day though and have started being more sociable, meeting more friends and generally being happier with my lot and more positive, helped in part by starting to practice guided meditation.  So many people have recommended it to me so I eventually gave it a go and although my mind still wanders terribly, every day it seems to get a bit easier.

Today I'm sharing (a few days later than planned) my DT card for the latest Cutie Pie Challenge.  As we are celebrating out 9th Blog Anniversary our theme is Birthday Party.  I've used an image from one of our fab sponsors - Crafty Sentiments and made a birthday card to celebrate my pal's 50th birthday.

Materials used:
Digital stamp - Crafty Sentiments, Stanley Happy Days 2
Promarkers
Patterned papers - First Edition, Paradise Crush
Sentiment stamps - Crafter's Companion, Bebunni
Scalloped rectangle nesting dies - X-cut
Stitched scalloped rectangle die - Stampin' Up
Cardstock, button & twine from stash

That's all from me tonight.

Take care,
Shona xx

Molly Blooms Christmas Gift Bag

Hello again,

I've just popped back on to share a little Christmas gift bag I made for the Holly & Ivy Challenge but didn't quite get around to blogging!  This is a cute little Molly Blooms stamp that a friend lent to me.  The paper is a very ancient Kanban single sheet that has been in my stash forever!

Materials used:
Patterned Paper - Kanban
Stamp - Molly Blooms
Promarkers
White Posca pen
Snowflake die - Hobbycraft
Bag, sentiment, button & twine all from stash

One of these days I will be all caught up and super organised...

Noel at the Holly & Ivy Christmas Challenge

Good afternoon,

Happy Sunday!  I've just realised I didn't post my card for the last Holly & Ivy Christmas challenge - it was on the challenge blog, just not on my own!  I've been struggling to keep up with blogging recently, I'm not going to make any promises I might not be able to keep but I'm going to try to put a bit more time to keeping on top of things.

For my card I've used the Trimcraft Night Before Christmas papers again, this time using my swatch die to create a patchwork effect and used up some scraps - I'm all about the scraps just now in case you hadn't noticed lol!  I've used my Sizzix Bigz Noel die as a topper and added a die cut snowflake and button.

Materials used:
Patterned Papers - Trimcraft, The Night Before Christmas
Noel Die - Sizzix
Snowflake die - Hobbycraft
Cardstock, button & twine from stash

Think that's me caught up for the time being.

Hip to be square with the Cutie Pies

 Good morning,

A quick post from me this morning to share my DT card for the Cutie Pie Challenge.  I'm doing this on my phone and using the new version of blogger so what could possibly go wrong lol.

Our theme this month is 'Hip to be Square' so we want to see cute square cards.  Our sponsor Lee Holland Design definitely has some cute images, the one I've used is a pre-coloured image and I've used scraps from a well loved paper pack to create a background.

Materials used
Image - Lee Holland Design
Papers - Hobbycraft, Springtime
Cardstock, sentiment, etc from stash

That's all for the moment, have a great day.

Hugs.

Christmas Animals

Good Morning,

Well it's been a month since I last posted on my blog.  It's been an eventful month though.  As is always the case at this time of year I've been mega busy at work.  I've worked quite a few evenings and have also been physically back in the office a few times due to having network issues when working remotely.  As well as that I've recently been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, the doctor thinks that's what's causing my tiredness as I also have pain and stiffness, so I'm on a new tablet for that, I can't say I've noticed much of a difference yet with the pain but I think I do feel a bit less tired.  I'm not falling asleep mid afternoon now anyway so that's a start!  sadly as often happens life has got in the way of crafting.  I've been trying to still craft when I can but blogging and keeping up to date with social media has had to slide a bit.

Anyway, back to my card.  Our theme for this month's Christmas With The Cuties challenge is Christmas Animals.  I've managed to cover several breeds of animal with my digi stamp from Di's Digital Stamps who are our sponsors.  I'd love to take the credit for the gorgeous colouring but it's actually a pre-coloured image, these are great if you have limited time.

Materials used:
Precoloured digi stamp - Di's Digi Stamps Christmas Critter Clan
Patterned Papers - Trimcraft - The Night Before Christmas
Sentiment - magazine freebie
Cardstock, buttons & twine from stash

That's all from me for the moment, have a great week.

Shona xx

Two or More Patterned Papers at Christmas with the Cuties

Good afternoon,

A quick lunch break post from me today, I wasn't organised with a scheduled post this week as I've not been feeling the best as discussed in the post previous to this.  Feeling fine again today though so hopefully it was just a wee blip.

Anyway, we have a fab new challenge for you at Christmas With The Cuties - our theme this month is 2 or more patterned papers and as always it must feature at least one cute character.  This month we are sponsored by Crafty Sentiments and I've used a fab digi of there's called Herbie Bear, I think he's just perfect for Christmas themed cards.  Yet again I've been 'shopping my stash' and trying to use up some of my older goodies.  Hmm, maybe I need to find space for some new stuff I've ordered...oops!

Materials used:
Digi stamp - Crafty Sentiments, Herbie Bear
Promarkers
Sentiment stamp - Docrafts
Patterned papers & matching tag - Docrafts, Christmas in the Country
Snowflake die - Hobbycraft own brand
Cardstock, button & twine all from stash

Thanks for stopping by, time for me to get back to work!

Boofle with the Holly & Ivy Christmas Challenge

Hi,

A late post to share my DT card for the Holly & Ivy Christmas Challenge apologies for being a bit late in sharing I've not been feeling the best this week, nothing serious I've just been extremely tired with painful joints so by the time I've finished work for the day I've not felt much like blogging or anything much really apart from surfing Netflix.  I'm not sure if it was my heart meds again this time but I've felt a bit better today so hopefully I've got over this flare up or whatever it was.

Anyway back to my card.  I'm still 'shopping my stash' and using up almost forgotten stuff that I find as I'm tidying my craft room/office.  It's almost like buying new stash when you rediscover things.  I just love this Boofle collection, it's soooo cute!  As always our theme is anything Christmas goes so it's a great way to use up stash and get ahead and organised for December 25th!

Materials used:
Boofle patterned papers & decoupage
X-cut nesting heart dies
Card Candi
Cardstock from stash

Layer it up with the Cutie Pies

Good morning!

And it's a scheduled post from me today.  I've got the day off today because it's a very special day!  Not only do we have a new challenge starting with the Cutie Pies but it's my Auntie Winnie's 94th birthday!  As she lives with us we can celebrate with her in person and I'm going to surprise her with an afternoon tea with lots of homebakes.  Since she can't go out the afternoon tea will come to her!  If the weather is nice we will have it in the garden if not indoors.  As my daughter's vegan I've experimented with a BBC Good Food Vegan Victoria Sponge recipe - it seems to have worked ok, it hasn't risen as much as it usually would but some jam and butter cream (vegan butter) will soon sort out it's appearance!  The plan is to have got up early to do some more baking so I do hope I've got out of my bed at a decent time lol!

Anyhoo back to the reason for my post, I'm sharing my card for this month's theme - Layer it up!  We are sponsored by the fantastic Bugaboo Digital Stamps who must have one of the biggest selections of digis out there - they really do have designs to suit every occasion.  I've chosen a cute bee design for my card and I've teamed it with some bold and funky patterned papers from JMC Designs - one of the other Design Teams I'm on, I think they work really well with the image!

Materials used:
Digital stamp - Bugaboo
Promarkers
Patterned papers - JMC Designs Curious Wonders
Sentiment stamp - JMC Designs Stampimentals Edition 1

Thanks so much for stopping by, I do hope you can join in with our challenge this month.

Forget The Rules for JMC Designs

Hello again!

I'm back to share a tag I made last week but didn't get around to blogging.  The digi stamps are all from the latest Ocean Fashionistas digital collection by JMC designs.  This collection along with all of Julia's other fab designs can be found in her Etsy shop here.

The stamps I've used for my card are from the accessories and sentiments sets.  I found a 12 x 12 sheet of scrapbooking paper in my stash that went perfectly and some pom pom trim that I bought ages ago because I loved the colour but never found anything that went with it until now!

Materials used:
Digi stamps and sentiment - JMC Designs Ocean Fashionistas collection
Promarkers
Patterned paper - Pink Paislee Summer Lights
Mask - Creative Expressions Large Polka Dots
Pearlescent ink - Artiste in Aqua
Pom pom trim - Docrafts
Tag, cardstock and gems all from stash

Thanks for stopping by today, it's really appreciated.

Merry & Bright for the Holly & Ivy Christmas Challenge

Hello!

And a happy Saturday to you.  Hope everyone is well and enjoying the weekend.  We are have some really nasty showery rain at the moment but hey we had summer last week so I can't complain!

Today I'm sharing my card I made for the latest Holly & Ivy Christmas Challenge.  As always our fortnightly challenge is anything Christmas goes.

This time I've used some Nitwits papers, toppers and stickers that have been in my stash for ever.  I'm slowly trying to use up old stash to help de-clutter and create space to work.  This range is called Merry & Bright and it certainly is very cheerful and colourful.  I actually love non traditional colours for Christmas cards.  I've inked the edges of all the elements using a black Promarker to make all the colours pop.  This was a very quick and easy card to make, to be honest it was absolutely scorching outside when I made it and I grudged being indoors any longer than I had to - especially making such a wintry card!

Materials used:
Patterned papers, Santa topper and sentiment sticker all Nitwits - Merry & Bright
Card Candi
Black Promarker
Pre-scored scalloped card blank

Thanks for popping by.

Optional Ribbons and Bows at Christmas With The Cuties

Good morning,

Another scheduled post on a Monday morning as I'm working, sadly this isn't one of my public holidays at work.  Scotland are different to England.  Never mind I'm planning on taking the following Monday off as our schools have this day off, I'm not sure why, especially when they're all closed anyway!

Anyway, back to my card.  Today we have a new challenge starting at Christmas with the Cuties, our theme this month is everyone's favourite Anything Goes with the option of 'Ribbons and bows' and we are sponsored by Crafty Ribbons.  The design team got to choose their own images for this challenge so I went for a cute pre-coloured topped from Sylvia Zet.  I love the colour theme of these toppers - the teal and red and they go so well with the paper I've chosen which I think is from an old Docrafts Me To You range.  I've distressed most of the edges to give a bit of a shabby chic look.  The ribbon was rescued off an Avon gift set my daughter got for Christmas and again, the colours tie in with the topper.

Materials used:
Pre-coloured Topper - Wee Stamps by Sylvia Zet - Winter Friends
Sentiment stamp - Personal Impressions by Paula Pascual
Snowflake punch - Hobbycraft
Cardstock, ribbon and pearls from stash

Thanks for dropping by today.

Take care and stay safe.

Another Little Piggy for the Holly & Ivy Christmas Challenge

Good morning,

Today I have a scheduled post and I'm sharing my latest DT card for the Holly & Ivy Christmas Challenge.  As always our theme is anything Christmas goes.  Like last fortnight's card I've used some of the fab freebies from Making Cards Magazine - these really are fab freebies, they're so versatile.  You might have seen in my recent posts that I'm on a mission to declutter and make a decent crafting space for myself and using up stash like this helps as I have accumulated so much 'stuff' and although it's all very pretty and useful, there's just too much of it and I need to downsize.  Well a little bit anyway, nothing too drastic mind!

I've layered up the papers with white cardstock as the paper is a little thin then distressed the edges.  I've finished off my card with a die-cut snowflake topped with a signature button, a sentiment and some pearls.

Materials used:
Image and patterned papers - Making Cards Magazine
Sentiment - LOTV
Snowflake die - Hobbycraft own brand
Remaining items from stash

Well that's all from me for the moment, I'm working (at home) today but I hope you all have a great day whatever you have planned.

Hugs,
Shona xx

Pretty in Pink with the Cutie Pies

Hello,

Today I'm sharing my DT card for the Cutie Pie Challenge where our new theme is 'Pretty in Pink'.  This month I've joined the mid month inspiration post but there's still plenty time to enter!  We're sponsored by the fantastic Polkadoodles who have a fab prize for our winner.  I've used one of their amazing pre-coloured images for my card.

I've used 3 different patterned papers and distressed the edges to give a shabby chic look.  I've finished off my card with some vellum flags and punched flowers and some striped ribbon.  This card is a bit of a stash buster most of the supplies came from a goody bag from a JMC Designs mixed media workshop!

Materials used:
Pre-coloured image - Polkadoodles
Sentiment stamp - Personal Impressions
Flower punch - Docrafts
All other materials from stash

In other news my husband and I have decided to rearrange our office into a joint office/craft room/DJ studio!  We currently use it as an office and somewhere to store my craft supplies and his vinyl albeit very haphazardly with lots of other junk thrown in for good measure.  We've made a start by moving the printer off the desk and giving the whole desk area a good tidy and at last I have enough surface to be able to craft in there!  There's still a way to go but we're getting there.

Anyway, that's all from me, I'm on my lunch break - back to work now!

Hugs,
Shona xx

Willow for JMC Designs

Good evening,

Today I'm sharing a card I made to celebrate the gorgeous freebie digi stamp that JMC Designs are generously offering for a limited time in conjunction with the Kit & Clowder Facebook group.  She's called Willow and I think you'll agree she's a cracker - why do I never look like this when I'm gardening.  I usually sport the dragged through a hedge backwards look!

Anyway on to my card and I thought I'd give a circular card a try, I've not actually made one before, well I've made a circular easel card several times but not a single fold card.  I think it turned out ok and it's pretty stable-ish!  I used some bright gardening themed papers that are an old favourite and coloured Willow to match.  Actually she's quite bright, you might need your sunnies!

Materials used:
Digi stamp - Willow by JMC Designs
Promarkers
Patterned Papers - Springtime from Hobbycraft
Sentiment - Pebbles Inc
Circle/Scalloped circle dies - X-cut
Flower pot die - Trimcraft
Flower die - magazine freebie
Cardstock, buttons & twine from stash

That's all from me for tonight, it's just about time to make dinner then chill with some colouring later.

Hugs,
Shona xx

Little Piggy for the Holly & Ivy Christmas Challenge

Good morning,

A scheduled post from me today to share my DT card for the latest Holly & Ivy Christmas Challenge
who can believe it's May already?  I'm now on week 8 of lockdown, hard to believe the time is still flying past so quickly even though our lives have slowed down a lot.  There's always stuff to do though.  Last night after work I spent an hour starting to sort out 'stuff' in the joint office/craft storage room.  I don't craft in there as there's not enough desk space but that's where I do my blogging and keep all my equipment and the bulk of my stash.  Although, having said that I have a set of drawers and my craft trolley in the hall and currently a large plastic storage box of dies under the kitchen table, oh and just remembered a few box files of A4 papers in the bedroom.  Oops I really need to get everything sorted into one place!  Anyway, I then made dinner then had another 2 hours decluttering time before catching up with an episode of Power and a glass of red.  It's going to take many more hours before everything is ship shape but I'm sure I'll get there!

Ok, so for this fortnight's challenge I decided to make a circular card for a change off my usual square offerings.  In the spirit of using up stash I used some freebie papers (including the little piggy image) from Making Cards, my favourite magazine.  I've used some snowflake die-cuts and punched shapes to finish off my circular easel card.  I made a second card with the same papers but that's to share another day!  Please excuse the photo, I had to take it in the daytime so ended up with dark shadows.

Materials used:
Patterned paper & image - Making Cards magazine
Sentiment - LOTV
Scallop circle die - X-cut
Large snowflake die - Hobbycraft own brand
Small snowflake punch - Hobbycraft?
Cardstock, card candi, button & twine all from stash

That's all from me for now.

Stay safe.

Red & Green at Christmas With The Cuties

Good morning,

It's a scheduled post from me this morning to share my DT card for the latest Christmas with the Cuties challenge.  If the morning is going well I will be working when this goes live or if it's not going quite so well I'll still be hitting the snooze button and wishing I'd got to my bed earlier.  Hope it's the former and not the latter so I don't have to work too late to make up my time!  In all seriousness it's great that I can work from home and as long as I work my weekly hours I can be a bit flexible with my start and finish times, within reason.

Anyhow, back to my card and our theme this month is 'Red & Green' and we're sponsored by the fantastic Sherri Baldy so I've used one of her gorgeous digi's Winter Wonderland I Heart Hot Coco for my card along with some rather ancient and well used magazine freebie papers I've had in my stash for years!

Materials Used:
Digi stamp - Sherri Baldy My Besties (link above)
Promarkers
Cork sentiment - Simply Creative by Trimcraft
Patterned papers - Cosy Christmas (magazine freebie)
Tree dies - Joy
Circle die - X-cut
White Posca pen
Cardstock, buttons & twine from stash

We'd love you to join in with our challenge, it's the perfect time to get ahead with making Christmas cards.

Stay safe.

Shona

Cinnamon Fox Tag

Hello,

A bit of a late night post tonight to share a quick tag I made earlier today.  I coloured the gorgeous fox image last night and put him to one side but suddenly I had a burst of inspiration late this afternoon and had to get crafting straight away.  I didn't even take the time to finish my coffee first lol!

Anyway, this image is from the Spicy Fox collection from JMC Designs and was released not long before I joined the JMC Dream Team.  I just love foxes so I decided I'd go back and revisit this collection just to make something fun.  I'm really happy with how it's turned out.  I really enjoy making tags I find the space so much easier to fill and my ideas seem to flow more easily.  I've taken a leaf out of Julia's own book and added some splatters of watered down gesso - one of her signature features, not something I usually do and after splattering half the kitchen table I maybe won't do it again in a hurry lol although I do love the look.  All the papers are from the Craft Asylum Into the Woods 6x6 pad.

Materials used:
Digi stamp - Cinnamon, Spicy Fox collection, JMC Designs
Patterned papers - Into The Woods, Craft Asylum
White gesso - Indigo Blu
Tag, Buttons & twine from stash

That's all from me tonight, bed is definitely calling!

Mazie Melody for JMC Designs

Hello,

I was going to say good evening but by the time I type up this post it will probably be into the morning!  Wow, what a hectic week it's been, I've been busy with work (at home on my laptop) and also supporting my 14 year old with her homeschooling.  As the weather has been brilliant this week I've also been trying to get out for walks more.  At least I was but I've developed an extremely painful hack on my heel so I am hobbling around a bit now!  Even in lockdown there aren't enough hours in the day sometimes!  It's now the weekend though and I intend to relax as much as possible.

Today I'm sharing a DT card for JMC Designs using Mazie Melody from the new Mini Melodies collection which launched today!  All the designs are music related and they are super cute!  You can get 15% off this amazing collection using the code MMELODIES15 up until midnight (UK Time) on Sunday 26th April.  I feel like my colouring isn't the best at the moment, my mojo seems to have got up and gone but I'm not going to worry about it too much, after all it's a good excuse to have a weekend of colouring practice!

Father Christmas for the Holly & Ivy Christmas Challenge

Good Morning,

Another scheduled post from me as I will be working (at home) again today.  Hasn't the weather been gorgeous over the last few days?  At least it has been here, hope it's been equally good wherever you are!   I'd love to work outside but although the wireless connection is usually pretty good I can't rely on it and also I'd be too easily distracted!

So on to my latest DT card for the Holly & Ivy Christmas Challenge. The stamp I have used for my card this time is by the artist Raymond Briggs who also created 'The Snowman' as immortalised in animated film and if you're Scottish by Irn Bru!!!  I was lucky enough to have been given this stamp set by one of my crafty friends, in fact it was a lovely surprise to get it through the mail a couple of weeks ago during the ongoing lockdown.  I loved colouring the 'big man' he's such a cheery Santa!  I've teamed him with some pretty old but well loved 12 x 12 papers and I've edged everything with a black Promarker which with so many layers adds definition without bulk.  I've finished off my card with a die-cut snowflake and my signature button.

Materials used:
Stamp Set - Raymond Briggs Father Christmas
Promarkers
White Posca pen
Patterned Papers - Docrafts Papermania Home for Christmas
Snowflake Die - Hobbycraft own brand
Cardstock, button & twine from stash

Thanks so much for visiting my blog.  Stay safe and take care of yourself in these uncertain times.

Ollie the Octopus & Friends

Hello again,

I'm back with another scheduled post to share my second sample for JMC Designs new Ocean Dreams Hochanda launch - this time featuring both sets of stamps - Ollie Octopus and Ocean Dreams.  I'm just keeping everything crossed that they made it to Hochanda HQ in time to be featured on the shows with Easter weekend and the COVID19 situation.  These stamps may be my favourite ever, they are a joy to colour and they are soooo cute!  I also think this might be my favourite card ever!  It's not like anything I've ever made before but it was so fun to make.

Bunnies, Bears & Other B's with the Cutie Pies

Hello,

Happy Easter Monday, hope everyone is keeping well and has managed to have a good weekend in these unusual circumstances.  Every day feels the same just now (A bit like the film Groundhog Day maybe?) so it's hard to believe this is the last day of the Easter school holidays and my daughter will be back to vitual/home schooling from tomorrow.  I've taken an extra day annual leave today so we can spend some time together and hopefully get out for a walk for our once a day outing we're allowed.

Anyway, on to my card.  Today's card is my DT make for the latest Cutie Pie Challenge where our theme is Bunnies, Bears and other B's!  We are sponsored by Crafty Ribbons which meant the design team were able to use an image of their choice so I've gone with a cute Crafter's Companion Bebunni rubber stamp which I've part coloured with Promarkers and part paper-pieced with my My Minds Eye papers.  These are one of my favourite sets of papers and I've had them in my stash for ages, there's only little bits and pieces left so it's ideal for paper-piecing and the patchwork effect.  I've added some faux stitching with a fine liner pen.

Materials used:
Patterned papers - MME Quite Contrary
Rubber stamp - Crafter's Companion Bebunni Hip Hip Hooray
Promarkers
Cardstock, ribbon, buttons & twine all from stash

Thanks for stopping by today.  Take care and stay safe.

Getting Ready for Christmas with the Holly & Ivy Christmas Challenge

Good afternoon,

I'm finally getting around to sharing my latest DT card for the Holly & Ivy Christmas Challenge these cute Bugaboo penguins are decorating their tree and getting ready for Christmas but I'm glad to say we've still got quite a few more months to go lol!  As I'm writing this post I'm sitting out in the garden and enjoying the sunshine although it's a little bit windy.  I'm also watching my husband busy at work in the garden.  We are lucky to have a lovely big garden where we can spend time during this phase of social distancing.

Anyway on to my card.  I've used a sketch I found on Pinterest for the layout, I love all the layers of patterned paper which are nice and bright to match the different colours I've used on the digi image.

Materials used:
Digi stamp - Bugaboo
Promarkers
Patterned paper - Trimcraft Dear Santa
Sentiment - magazine freebie
Cardstock, button and twine from stash

That's all from me for the moment enjoy the rest of the Easter weekend as much as possible in the circumstances and I'll be back with you in the next couple of days.

Sally Sundae

Good evening!

As promised I'm back with my next design featuring the new Sweet & Savoury collection from JMC Designs which you can buy here.  I really must finish colouring the savoury characters - can you tell I have a sweet tooth lol?!

This card features Sally Sundae and once again my mouth is watering at the thought of all the gorgeous ice creams and wafers.  I've even used some patterned paper that resembles sprinkles!

CoCo Caramel

Good morning,

It's a scheduled post from me today and I hope it finds you all well and managing to avoid the dreaded Coronavirus.  I'm now in my 3rd week of 'social distancing' I possibly started a week earlier than some of you due to having a heart condition that puts me at increased risk of complications.  It sounds blissful staying at home and there has been some high points like spending more time with my family but the downside is there's 4 of us in a relatively small space so we sometimes get under each others feet and niggle at each other.  I'm sure everyone has similar experiences.  I'm still working from home so I get a bit envious when I see other people clearing out their craft spaces or even just having more time to create!  On the plus side I don't have to spend time commuting back and fore between mine and my husband's work.  Cooking is more of a joy as I can step away from the laptop straight into the kitchen and it's more about planning meals around what we already have and what we can source.  I might not have had time to clear out my craft stuff but I'm having a good go at the freezer!

Anyhoo, on to my card and this is a card I made for JMC Designs latest launch - the Sweet & Savoury collection which you can buy here either individually or as a complete collection!  This design is CoCo Caramel and she conjures up thoughts of all things sweet and yummy and chocolatey!  In fact I had to go and grab some Oreos as I was typing this!  If you haven't already it's worth checking out the JMC's Crazy Craft Hive Facebook group, there's always loads of inspiration and often discount codes and freebies!

To complete my card I've used some very old patterned papers from Docrafts and an even older Polkadoodles sentiment that was part of a magazine freebie set!
