Holly & Ivy Christmas Challenge - Forever Friends

Good morning,

It's a scheduled post from me today as it's my first day back at work after the long Easter weekend.  Hope you had a peaceful Easter with plenty chocolate treats!

I'm here to share my latest DT card for the Holly & Ivy Christmas Challenge, as always our challenge is just for fun and the theme is anything Christmas goes.  The months are rolling past very quickly so why not get ahead with your Christmas cards this year and come and join in with our challenge!

For this challenge I've used one of my favourite magazine freebie Christmas stamps and coloured it with Promarkers and it's a first outing for these Dovecraft papers I picked up for a song at the craft de-stash fair I had a table at recently.

Materials used:
Clear Stamp - Forever Friends, magazine freebie
Sentiment Stamp - LOTV
Patterned Papers - Trimcraft Back To Basics Christmas (Modern)
Cardstock, buttons and twine from stash

Thanks for stopping by today.

Hugs,
Shona xx

Good Luck at Worlds!

Good evening,

I've just popped on to share a card I made to wish 2 of my daughter's team mates good luck at the ICU Cheerleading Worlds competition in Florida where they will be representing their country with Team Scotland.  They are taking part in the Junior Pom division next week and we are ever so proud of their commitment and dedication even to get through the training to get this far as each training session meant over a 200 mile round trip.  Well done girls, we can't wait to watch you!

I've coloured Tilda's outfit to be as close to the Team Scotland costume as possible.

Materials used:
Magnolia Rubber Stamp - Cheer Leader Tilda
Promarkers
Papers - Dovecraft Back To Basics, True Blue
3D Elements - Express Yourself MIP
Sentiment - Personal Impressions Big Sentiments by Paula Pascual
Stickles Glitter Glue - Stardust
Cardstock, button, twine and gems from stash

Thanks for taking a peek,

Hugs,
Shona xx

New Beginnings With The Cutie Pies

Good morning!

An unscheduled post from me today as I have a day off!  In Highland our schools are now off for the Easter Holidays.  I'm not taking a full week off as my teenager is not as dependant on me to keep her entertained these days lol!  Just a few odd days here and there, only working 2 days this week, 3 next, 4 the following and then back to normal full time!  We are having a day trip to Edinburgh on Friday for a little shopping and to meet up with cousins we've not seen for a while.  Really looking forward to that.

Anyway, we have a fab new challenge for you over at the Cutie Pies.  Our theme this month is 'New Beginnings' so there's plenty of scope to choose from - New Home, New Job, New Baby, etc.  Just remember to also add a cute image because we're all about the cute and cuddly!

We are sponsored by our good friends at Bugaboo who have a fantastic prize for our winner.

I've used one of their digi images called Hang In There Dog and coloured it with Promarkers.  As you can see I've used it for a New Baby card but you could also use it for a Get Well/Thinking of You card amongst others.

Materials Used:
Digi Stamp - Bugaboo Hang In There Dog
Promarkers
Papers - Dovecraft Back To Basics True Blue
Border Punch - Fiskars Threading Water
Sentiment Stamp - Personal Impressions Paula Pascual Big Sentiments
Cardstock, Button and Twine all from Stash

Thanks for stopping by and for any comments you leave.  It's greatly appreciated.

Love and hugs,
Shona xx

Holly and Ivy Christmas Challenge

Good afternoon,

Or should that be crafternoon?  It's been a while since I did any daytime crafting in fact apart from my weekly outing to craft club I'm not doing very much at all sadly.   I'm still struggling with fatigue caused by my heart meds although on the whole it's not quite as bad as it was.

I've quickly hopped into blogland to share my DT card for the Holly and Ivy Christmas Challenge.   It's a bit late but there's still a few days left to enter the challenge.

I've taken a break off the colouring and made a very simple card this time with some Hobbycraft papers and toppers I picked up in their sale.

I finally succumbed to buying a guillotine and that helped me create the layout.   I really don't know how I've managed with only a rotary blade paper trimmer for so long!

Thanks for stopping by.
