Glitter and Glitz with I ♥ ProMarkers

Good morning,

A scheduled post from me today as I will be at work.  Today we have a fab new challenge starting over at I ♥ ProMarkers and our theme is Glitter and Glitz.  This challenge marks our 7th Anniversary as the very first challenge was on the 16th July 2009!  I hope you will all take this opportunity to craft along with us and celebrate our 7th Birthday!!!

We are sponsored for this very special challenge by Fabrika Fantasy!  Also, on a personal level this is my last design team card for  I ♥ ProMarkers.  I will miss this a lot but I have got so much going on between work and my family that it's getting increasingly difficult to fit in crafting time.  I totally adore the challenge so they won't be getting rid of me that easily I hope to be able to drop by and take part now and then!

Ok on to my card, I've used an image from our sponsor called Fairytale Unicorn which has been coloured with Promarkers and sprayed with Crafter's Companion Spray & Sparkle.

Papers from an ancient Tulip decoupage pack, X-cut dies for stars and some gems to finish.

I ♥ ProMarkers DT Card - For A Child

Good morning,

Today we have a fab new challenge starting at I ♥ ProMarkers, our theme this fortnight is 'For a Child' and we are sponsored by Kenny K!

For my card I've used a fab sponsor image called Martial Arts Girl, which has been coloured with Promarkers.

The papers are American Crafts Dear Lizzy Fine & Dandy and the sentiments have been made on the PC in Word.  I've added some Dovecraft Washi tape, spotty ribbon and a couple of die cut stars to my card.

I've had a bit of a dry patch with my card making lately.  Mostly because I haven't been able to dedicate much time to it because I've been so busy with family stuff, but I'm quite pleased with how this one has turned out.

I ♥ ProMarkers DT Card - Inspired by a Film or a Song

Oops, I'm a bit late with my DT card.  I just don't seem to have a minute just now it's all go all the time!  I keeping thinking once I get the next event out of the way I'll get back on an even keel then something else comes along.  I definitely need to get better at saying that little word 'NO' lol.

So on to my card.  Our theme this fortnight at I ♥ ProMarkers is 'Inspired by a Film or a Song' the challenge is sponsored by ColArt (Letraset) and Digital Delights.

I've used a fab sponsor image from Digital Delights called Captain Colin for my card.  It's been coloured with Promarkers as always.  The colours are loosley based on 'Captain America' and I was inspired by the song 'Superheroes' by The Script.

I ♥ ProMarkers DT Card - Anything Goes

Good evening,

Sorry I'm a little late with my DT post, I didn't get around to scheduling it for this morning.  Hope you are all well?  Our lovely sunny weather has disappeared and has been replaced by dreary showers so perfect crafting weather!

So on to my card.  We have a fab new challenge over at I ♥ ProMarkers that just started today.  Our theme this time is everyone's favourite 'Anything goes' so you have no excuses just get those Promarkers out and have fun!  Our sponsor is the fabulous Ikes Art who have a vast selection of digis in their online shop.

I've used one of their fab digis called My New Shoes for my card, which of course has been coloured with Promarkers.

The image is so beautifully detailed that I kept to a simple layout so as not to detract from it.  the papers are American Crafts Dear Lizzy Fine & Dandy.  A heart shaped button, paper cord and black pearls to finish.

I♥Promarkers DT Card - Ribbon and/or Lace

Good evening,

Sorry no scheduled post from me this morning.  I was a bit all over the place last night and ran out of time.  Hubby was back in hospital today for a revision of the hernia op he had last year as one side had popped back out.  It was just keyhole surgery this time and thankfully done locally (you might remember my 3 return trips to Fort William 66 miles away last summer).  He has been well warned no heavy lifting for 8 weeks so I will be trying to watch him like a hawk!

Ok, so back to my card.  Today we have a fab new challenge starting over at I♥Promarkers, this fortnight's theme is 'Use Ribbon and/or Lace' and we are sponsored by The Paper Shelter!

I have used a fab sponsor image for my DT card called 'Charming Spring Girl' and I've coloured her with Promarkers.

The papers are all from a Forever Friends pack called Spring Time so I thought they would tie in with the image.  Everything has been matted and layered with black card for a bold, fresh look.  The sentiment sticker is by Pebbles Inc and I've added some gingham ribbon to tie in with the theme.  My card is finished off with black gems and a button tied with paper cord.

I♥Promarkers DT Card - Pastel Colours

Good morning,

A scheduled post from me today.  We have a fab new challenge over at I♥Promarkers, our theme this fortnight is Pastel Colours.  Our sponsor is Fabrika Fantasy.

I have used one of there cute images called Dancing Squirrel for my DT card and coloured it with Promarkers of course.

I've used co-ordinating cardstock and papers from my newish Folk Song pad from Simply Creative/Trimcraft.  These papers are an absolute steal just now in Hobbycraft think they were just £2.00 for a pack of 30 6x6 sheets!  The sentiment stamp is from a set by Personal Impressions.  My card is finished off with mint green gingham ribbon, enamel dots and a resin flower.

I ♥ ProMarkers DT Card - Use 2 Colours Only

Good morning,

Well I'm around half way through my week's holidays from work and as yet I haven't really done anything I planned!  Iona is away this afternoon to a camp/sleepover with her cheerleading team until tomorrow evening so it will be a bit quiet around the place!  Maybe I'll get caught up with some crafting though...

Today I'm sharing my DT card for I ♥ ProMarkers, our theme this fortnight is 'Use 2 colours only'.  Our sponsor for the challenge is Dr Digi's House of Stamps.

Well I have to say that was a bit of a challenge in itself as I usually like to use a lot of black on my cards as well as coloured papers and image etc.  In the end I chose a sponsor image called Birthday Cake and plumped for my current favourite colour combo - pink and yellow!  I think this will have to be my last one in this colour scheme for a while - even I'm getting fed up of it lol!

Again, the papers are more from my magazine freebie Nitwits stash.  I've added some buttons, enamel dots and spotty ribbon to the papers and elements and the sentiment was generated in Word and just added to the image using a borderless text box.

I♥Promarkers DT Card - Swirls and Pearls

Good Morning,

Today we have a fab new challenge starting over at I♥Promarkers, our theme this time is 'Swirls & Pearls' and we are sponsored by Live & Love Crafts and Digital Delights.

I've used a super cute sponsor image for my DT card called Flower Power Dolled Up Daisy which has been coloured with Promarkers.

I wasn't sure what colours to go for, I was kind of thinking pink and red but my daughter said to try pink and yellow.  It's 2 colours I wouldn't normally put together but I love the result and it was a good use of these matching Nitwits papers that came in a magazine!  The sentiment and hearts are also from the paper set so all I've added are the gem swirls from Hobbycraft and a few pearls.

I ♥ Promarkers DT Card - Men At Work

Hello,

I'm just a little late this time.  I'm having a hectic few days trying to get organised for a weekend away with my daughter and her Cheer & Dance Team!  Not easy when I'm out at work all day and to top it all off my washing machine broke at the weekend and the new one doesn't arrive until Saturday!  Oh well these things are sent to try us!

Ok so we have a great new challenge for you over at I ♥ ProMarkers our theme is 'Men At Work' reminds me of a song from back in the 80s - Down Under by Men at Work.  Showing my age now lol!!!  Anyway, we are sponsored by the fab Kenny K!

The image I have chosen is Jolly Chap and I've coloured him with Promarkers.

I've used a newsprint paper from Stampin' Up and kept my card simple with some letter stickers from Docrafts and some black pearls.

I ♥ Promarkers DT Card - Bingo!

Good morning,

Yay I'm on a roll another scheduled post from me written last night while I was stuffing myself full of pancakes!  This time I'm sharing my DT card for I♥Promarkers.  Our theme this fortnight is 'Bingo' and we would love you to join us!

We are sponsored by Stitchy Bear Stamps 

I have used used one of the vast amount of fab digis on their website.  This one is part of the Baby Bug set from BB Kakes and I fell in love with it when I saw it!  It has been coloured, of course, with Promarkers. 

I used the bingo board line (Die cut~Free (sentiment)~ Pearls)!

The papers are Springtime by Hobbycraft and I've used a sentiment from a Pink Petticoat freebie set.  Image matted on to a nestie embellished with little gems and I've added die cut corners made using a freebie die.  I do love a freebie!  My card is finished with some pearls, a ribbon bow and Star Dust Stickles on the wings.

Oh well that's pancake day over and done with for another year.  Is anyone else giving up anything for lent?  Iona and I are giving up fizzy sugary drinks (not that we drink that much of them) although I draw the line at giving up fizzy wine and beer lol!

At last I'm sharing my DT Card for I ♥ ProMarkers!  Our current theme is everyone's favourite 'Anything Goes' and our sponsor is Dr Digi!

For my DT card I've used one of their fab Cuddly Critter's images for one of my daughter's friends who loves pigs!

I've coloured it with Promarkers and used a couple of papers from the Me To You With Love A5 paper pack.  My card has been finished off simply with ribbon, foam numbers, rub on sentiment, buttons and pearls.

I♥Promarkers DT Card - Anything Goes

Hello,

Welcome to a rather late post from me.  I should have posted this last Wednesday but I'm afraid I just didn't get to it until now.  I was away with my daughter this weekend at a cheerleading competition and had sinusitis in the run up to going away that gave me a blinding headache so the last thing I wanted to do after work was hop on the pc to blog after staring at a screen all day.  Anyway the good news is that my daughter's team won their division and I couldn't be more proud!

So on to my DT business... my card is for the current I♥Promarkers challenge.  Our theme this time is Something New (use new stash).  So if you got some new stash for Christmas or treated yourself in the sales why not take part and show them off!  A change for the new year - our challenge has now gone fortnightly and the DT has been split into 2 teams so don't forget to join us every Wednesday for new inspiration from each team.  Challenges will end the second Monday evening following the original challenge post.

I've used a fab image of theirs called 'Rock Star' which of course I've coloured with Promarkers!

The paper is actually a Christmas one ?!? and is from the Honey & Hugs Festive Frolics pad - an old one from Docrafts.  I've used X-cut dies for the stars and the foam numbers are from Asda!  My new stash is the fab music note border die called Christmas Carol from Die'sire by Crafters Companion.  I really love it and I'm sure I'll get lot's of mileage out of it not just at Christmas as I've done here.  My card is finished off with gems and glitter dome stickers.

I ♥ Promarkers DT Card - Vintage/Retro

Hello!

At last here I am with my I ♥ Promarkers DT card!  'm very late posting on my blog.  The week has just been a whirlwind of social events and Christmas prep and of course still trying to fit in all the usual house work and chores!

Our theme this week is Vintage/Retro and we are sponsored by The Paper Shelter!

I was lucky enough to be able to pick a sponsor image for the challenge so I chose 'Little Hazel' as I thought it fitted with our theme really well.  It's been coloured with Promarkers of course.

The papers are LOTV as is the sentiment stamp.  The Ivy corner dies are by Marianne.  All other dies by X-cut.  Trimcraft Ribbon and pearls finish off my card.

I ♥ Promarkers DT Card - Anything Goes

I'm still playing catch up and my to do list is taking on a life of it's own!  Tonight is the only full night I'll have at home this week!  Is everyone else snowed under or is it just me and everyone else is organised and calm???  My 'duties' tonight include cleaning out the hamster cage, dying my hair and thankfully, making a card if I ever get to it!

So on to the important bit... today is the start of another fab challenge over at I ♥ Promarkers, this week our theme is everyone's favourite 'Anything Goes' and we are sponsored by the fab Dr Digi!

For my card I used a fun image from our sponsor called 'Snow Fun' which I've coloured with Promarkers.

The paper is Trimcraft The Night Before Christmas and was a recent magazine freebie.  I've used Tim Holtz letter stickers and a felt snowflake, button and twine to finish off my simple card.

I ♥ ProMarkers DT Card - Winter

Good Morning,

A scheduled post from me today.  Today we have a fab new challenge starting at I ♥ ProMarkers, our theme this week is 'Winter' and we are sponsored by Marianne Design who have a great prize lined up for our lucky winner.

This week the DT had free reign to use a stamp or digi of their own so I plumped for 'My Friend Flakey' from Sugar Nellie, which I coloured of course, with Promarkers.

The paper is by Hot Off The Press and was part of a Christmas Inspiration magazine/stamp/cd combo I picked up a couple of years ago.  I've used a dull Champagne coloured metallic card to die cut a border (Frostyville Border from Memory Box) as well as Snowflake corner die and Precious Stars also from MB.  The sentiment is a freebie from Netty's Cards which I've coloured blue with Promarkers.  I've finished off my card with some matching ribbon and a gem which is dark grey in real life but looks amber in this photo!

I ♥ ProMarkers DT Card - New Home

Good evening,

I'm a bit late posting my DT card on my own blog this week.  I've been battling a cold (with a horrible chesty cough) this week.  I'm starting to feel a bit more human again thankfully.  But I feel like I'm getting everything going just now:(  Nothing a week in the Bahamas wouldn't fix I'm sure!!!

Our theme this week at I ♥ ProMarkers is 'New Home' coincidetally I'd been commissioned to make a 'First Christmas in your New Home' card so thought I'd combine the two!

I used a fab 'Snow Globe' Digi from our sponsors Stitchy Bear which of course I've coloured with Promarkers adding a bit of liquid pearls for the falling snow and a lot of Stardust Stickles for the fallen snow!

The papers are MME Merry and I've added a die cut Lacey Circle mat and a snowflake made using an X-cut die.  I've finished off my card with a puched snowflake, button, spotty ribbon and pearls.

Incidentally this is the first and last time you'll se me using this little snowflake puch as I broke it on it's first outing :(  my kraft card was too thick for it to cope with!  I read on the back of the packaging (afterwards) that it only worked up to a certain gsm.  Hindsight is a wonderful thing!  Just as well it was a cheapy from Hobbycraft!

I ♥ Promarkers DT Card - Traditional Christmas

Good Evening,

Sorry I was so late posting my DT card last night that I didn't get around to scheduling a post.  I need to get myself more organised.  I think that will have to be my new years resolution!

Anyway, back to business.  Today marks the start of this week's fab challenge at I ♥ Promarkers.  Our theme this week is 'Traditional Christmas'.  I'm sure, like me, you still have some Christmas cards to make so why not join us and perhaps you might win a prize from our sponsors, we have 2 this week!

I thought the 'Traditional Christmas' theme suited these fab Classic Christmas papers from LOTV which I've added some faux stitching to, as well as distressing the edges.  The sentiment is also by LOTV.  I've added some buttons, pearl hearts, spotty organza ribbon and a brad from Dovecraft's Santa's Workshop range to finish off my card.

I ♥ Promarkers DT Card - Food & Drink

Good morning,

It's Wednesday so that means the start of another fab challenge over at I ♥ Promarkers  This week our theme is 'Food and Drink' and our sponsor is the fab Just Inklined.

I chose a fab digi from our sponsor called 'Feed The Birds', which of course has been coloured with Promarkers.  I love the retro feel to it.  I'm not sure about other parts of the UK but sadly it's been years since we stopped getting milk delivered in glass bottles, this kind of thing just wouldn't happen now with a 4 pint plastic carton from Tesco!

To be totally honest I was a little bit daunted colouring this as it's not the type of image I would normally go for but I needn't have worried as it was a joy to colour and I really enjoyed doing something out of my comfort zone.  As soon as I chose my image I knew what paper pack I would go for - Home to Nest by Lucy Cromwell, but in the end I just chose one paper from the pack and teamed it with a checked paper from a We Are Memory Keepers pad for a little added colour.  Ive matted the papers on to kraft card and also used a new kraft polka dot washi tape from Dovecraft.  It took me ages to get into washi tape but I'm converted now! I've finished off my card with a birthday sentiment from LOTV, a bird charm from the Papermania Sew Lovely range, pearls and a raffia topped button.

I've made a CAS layout using an X-cut star die to make an aperture putting some MME My Girl patterned paper behind.  I've finished off my card with a rub-on sentiment from Kaisercraft.
