Christmas Wishes for the Holly & Ivy Christmas Challenge

Good morning,

Another scheduled post from me today.  I hope everyone is well and managing to avoid this horrific COVID19 virus.  I just can't believe how quickly things have developed.  Please stay home and help protect the vulnerable and the health service as far as is humanly possible.

Thank goodness we have our crafting to keep us going, today I'm sharing my DT card for the Holly & Ivy Christmas Challenge.  As always we are an Anything Christmas Goes challenge and I've dusted down a well loved magazine freebie stamp for this fortnight's offering.  I've kept the layout simple as I've used quite a 'busy' patterned paper.  Hope you'll join in and share your makes with us too.

Materials used:
Clear stamp - magazine freebie
Promarkers
Sentiment stamp - LOTV
Patterned Paper - Docrafts Christmas in the Country
Sakura Micron Fineliner

That's all from me, please stay safe.

Virtual hugs,
Shona xx

White Christmas at Christmas with the Cuties

Good morning,

A scheduled post from me today as I will be working, albeit at home!  I'll be working at home for the forseeable future due to COVID19 as I have Dilated Cardiomyopathy and sufferers have been advised to isolate for 12 weeks.  Sadly my husband has already been laid off from his garden centre job, add to that my daughter is at home due to no school and we have my 93 year old aunt in the house too so the four of us are trying very hard not to get under each other's feet!  At least none of us have to go out to work or school so it puts us under less risk of coming into contact with the virus.  Grateful to have my cardmaking along with some other hobbies to help keep me sane!  I'm sure you all feel the same.

Anyway, to cheer us all up we have a fab new challenge at Christmas with the Cuties, our theme this month is 'White Christmas' and we are sponsored by the wonderful Polkadoodles.  I've gone for one of their super cute digis for my white on white DT card.

Materials used:
Digital Stamp - Polkadoodles Hollybobs Skater
Promarkers
White Posca pen
Sentiment - Stampin' Up Perfectly Plaid
Snowflake die - Hobbycraft
Circle die - X-cut
Torn circle die - Tattered Lace
Embossing Folder - ?Docrafts
All other materials from stash

Thanks for stopping by, and can I please urge you all to practice social distancing as far as is humanly possible.  The NHS is going to be put under an enormous amount of pressure and we ALL need to do our bit to ensure that our vulnerable and elderly as well as the frontline staff aren't put at unnecessary risk.  Sorry, not sorry for my public service announcement most of all keep yourself and your loved ones safe.

Virtual Hugs,
Shona xx

Gorgeous Greens with the Cutie Pies

Good morning,

A scheduled post from me today, the weekend is over and I haven't won the lottery so back to work I must go!

To help cheer us up we have a fab new challenge starting with the Cutie Pies - our theme this month is Gorgeous Greens just right for St. Patrick's Day or why not get started on some Easter or Spring cards if you haven't already.  Or you could just do what I did and make a just because card!

I've used the gorgeous Pippa digi from JMC Designs for my DT card which you can buy here.  Isn't she fun?  I've added a sentiment from an old Pink Petticoat freebie set which fits in well and kept everything simple with just one patterned paper and some bakers twine.

Materials used:
Digi stamp - Pippa, JMC Designs
Promarkers
White Posca pen
Sentiment - Pink Petticoat
Patterned paper - Spring Chic, Docrafts
Bakers Twine - The Works

Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon.

Hugs,
Shona xx

Snail Mail

Good evening,

I've hopped on to share a quick card I made using the super cute snail digi from the Toadstool Tots collection - the latest release from JMC Designs which you can find here.

No photo description available.

I'm trying to move away from my more usual style of layout so for this card I've created a faux aperture using a circle die and raising up the patterned paper using foam tape to create dimension.  I've used 2 shades of distress ink to create the background.  I've finished off my card with some doodling and the 'snail mail' sentiment from the collection which fits the card perfectly.

Materials used:
Digi stamps incl sentiment - JMC Designs Toadstool Tots
Promarkers
White Posca pen
Black Sakura Micron pen
Tim Holtz distress inks
Patterned paper - MME My Girl

That's all from me tonight, hope you have a great weekend when it comes.

Hugs,
Shona xx
