CRAFT Challenge DT Card - Fantasy

Good morning!

I'm trying very hard to keep up with my DT duties and scheduling when I can so this is a scheduled post from me today.  I'm not much of a morning person so unless I'm on holiday I don't have time to do this real time you're more likely to catch me packing schoolbags or making breakfast while yelling at Iona to get a move on!

Todays offering is my DT card for this week's CRAFT Challenge where our theme this week is 'Fantasy' our sponsors are The Stamping Boutique and Dr Digi.

I've gone for a Dragon for the fantasy theme and used a fab image from Dr Digi called BBQ Dragon which I've coloured with Promarkers.

As it's a male card I've kept the layout simple and made the image the focal point.  I've added a Personal Impressions sentiment, Papermania Capsule Collection papers and a couple of buttons.

We'd love you to join us with your 'Fantasy' creations.

Bye for now,
Shona xx

I♥Promarkers DT Card - Anything Goes

Good morning,

Ah well the first day back to work wasn't too bad after all although I only slept about 2 hours in total the night before as my brain wouldn't seem to switch off :(  Iona faired a lot better and had a good sleep and had no complaints with her first day in Primary 6 either.  I think she must be expecting lots of homework this year with the size of the bag she insisted on getting.  I take less away for a weekend!

We went out for dinner last night too so that was a real treat not to have to cook on my first day back!  Hubby got on ok at doctor so he is signed back to work with effect from Thursday which is a week earlier than expected.  He is getting fed up - I obviously didn't find enough chores for him to do lol!

So, without further ado...We have a fab new challenge over at I♥Promarkers this week.  Our theme is everyones favourite Anything Goes!!!  So there's nothing to stop you joining in as long as you use ProMarkers, FlexMarkers, AquaMarkers or Tria's on your project!  Our sponsor this week is the fab Dr Digi.

I've used a Dr Digi image called Man About The House for my card which luckily tied in with a commissioned card I was asked to make for a 60th Birthday.  The image has been coloured with ProMarkers.

The papers are from a Hobbycraft own brand pad and the sentiment is from the PC.  I've added some die cut buttons using a new die set from Die'sire.  A few black gems finish off my card.

Hugs, Shona x

Dream Valley DT Card - Use A Charm

Hi folks,

Well, I'm a bit sad today as it's the last day of the holidays, back to school and work tomorrow and hubby has the doc today to see if he can get signed back to work early on light duties as he's getting fed up!  Bit ironic that as Iona and I would both like a bit longer time off!

Ok, back to business...  Today we have a fab new challenge starting over at Dream Valley Challenges - our theme this time is use a charm!  Our sponsor is the fab

I've taken the chance to make another Christmas card for my stash and used a fab rubber stamp from the Crafter's Companion S.W.A.L.K. collection!

As usual I have coloured it with Promarkers.  I have loosely based the layout on a card I saw on Pinterest but I've added my own twist.  The snowflake embossing folder is from X-cut and the paper is from the elderly Papermania Noel collection.  The sentiment is by LOTV and I've finished off my card with a snowflake charm, spotty organza ribbon and a button and gems from my stash.

That's all from me just now.  Enjoy your day.

Shona x

I ♥ Promarkers DT Card - Balloons!

Good Morning,

A sheduled post from me today - after being soaked twice on Monday after being caught in a thunder storm we faired a bit yesterday and went on a short local walk which has fab woodcarvings mostly in the theme of The Gruffalo with some others such as dragons, etc.  I think the one below is supposed to be Gandalf from LOTR.  Then it was cheerleading for Iona and her pal then we went ten pin bowling after that so it was a busy day but we had a lot of fun.

It's been a couple of weeks since I shared a card for the I ♥ Promarkers design team as I took a bit of time out while my husband was having his op but I'm back now and delighted to be using one of my favourite stamps for this weeks challenge which is themed 'Balloons'

Our sponsor is

The image I've chosen for my card is Peek A Boo by Sugar Nellie, one of my old favourites.  It immediately sprung to mind when I heard the theme was balloons!  She's been coloured of course using Promarkers to match my Boofle papers.

I've matted everything on black cardstock for definition and added black and white spotty organza ribbon to match and I've topped the bow with a heart shaped button and pink raffia.  The sentiment is another from my Personal Impressions set and I've finished off with a few black gems.

That's me for now, have a lovely day whatever you have planned.

Hugs, Shona x

Cutie Pies Challenge DT Card - Cute & Girly!

Good morning,

So it's just over a week now until I go back to work and Iona goes back to school.  I have to admit to being a bit lazy last week and we didn't do very much except for a bit of catching up with friends.  Having said that Iona was tied up with dancing on 3 of the days that we couldn't have gone very far afield anyway.  Must try to do better this week, I also want to tackle a bit of de-cluttering in the house so we'll see how that goes!

Anyways, I'm here to share my Cutie Pies DT card and tell you about our fab new challenge we have for you this month.  Our theme is 'Cute & Girly' and as always we want to see cute/whimsical characters on your projects.  This month we are also having a  DT Call, this is a great opportuninty for anyone who loves creating projects using cute images as we get fab sponsor images to work with and we are a really friendly team.  This was my first DT post and I would recommend it to anyone!

Our sponsor this month is the fantastic

who have provided the DT with some super cute images.  I chose Dr Autry for my get well card and coloured it with Promarkers.

The papers are all LOTV/Nitwits Bonnets & Bowties.  You can's see from my photo but I've gone for an aperture effect with the image sitting underneath the raised up frame.  I used black pom pom braid to edge the aperture.  The flowers were die cut using Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die set and I've added a Gorjuss button to each flower.  The sentiment is by Personal Impressions and I've finished off my girly card with gingham ribbon topped with a heart shaped button from Hobbycraft.

We'd love you to come and share your girly projects with us and don't forget about our DT call too!

Hugs, Shona xx

CRAFT Challenge DT Card - A Recipe

Hello again,

I've had quite a busy time since I was on here earlier.  My daughter and I met up with a friend and her daughter and we went to the cinema to see Inside Out.  We all really enjoyed it and I did my usual and had a bit of a cry (can't help myself lol).  By the time it finished the rain had started so instead of going to the park as planned we visited an indoor soft play place.  The girls had great fun and were good company for each other while us mums enjoyed a coffee and a natter!

I'm back this evening to share my DT card for the current CRAFT Challenge.  This week we have a recipe for you:

And our sponsor is:

I have used a sponsor image called Coco The Bride for my DT card.  You can find Sunflowerfield on Facebook here.

I have coloured the image using Promarkers to match my papers which are from another Lidl paper pad.  I've used squares cut from 2 of the papers and I fussy cut the lacey border from another.  The sentiment is by LOTV and my card is finished simply with pearls and a ribbon bow.

That's me for tonight, thank you for stopping by.

Hugs, Shona xx

DT Card - Dream Valley Challenges - Stripes or Checks

Hello,

I'm a bit late with my DT post.  Last week was a bit of a mad one for me.  My husband had to travel 66 miles away for a day case op in the Highland town of Fort William.  It's a lovely little place but not a very nice road there, very winding and no offence but lots of tourist traffic as it runs alongside Loch Ness.  The scenery is a bit too nice and people often decide to stop very suddenly when they spot a parking place they can pull into to admire the view so you really need to keep your wits about you!  It's also annoying as we have the largest hospital in our area right on our doorstep but I guess they have waiting lists and targets to meet.  Anyhow, poor hubby didn't get home the same day after the op as he took a reaction to the anaesthetic so my daughter and I came back home without him and had to return the next day.  On top of this I still had to go to work so it was all a bit stressful.  Hubby is on the mend now and glad it's all behind him although he will be signed off work for a while yet.  I'm now on holiday and have just about seized up and gone into lazy mode after all the excitement last week hence being late with my DT posts!

Ok, so now I've had my ramblings I'll get back to the task in hand!  We have a fab challenge running over at Dream Valley Challenges - our theme this week is 'Stripes or Checks' and we are sponsored by Dr Digi!

For my DT card I've used a sponsor image called Angling Andy!  I love these digis they have so much character and are great fun to colour!

I have coloured him with Promarkers to tone with my Papermania Capsule Collection papers.  I've used both striped and checked papers from the pack.  I've used a kraft card blank and kraft cardstock for my matting and layering.  The sentiment is by Personal Impressions and I've finished off my card with a button, charm, coloured raffia and some Scrapberry pearls.

Thank you for stopping by and we'd love you to join in with the challenge.
