I'm a bit late with my DT post. Last week was a bit of a mad one for me. My husband had to travel 66 miles away for a day case op in the Highland town of Fort William. It's a lovely little place but not a very nice road there, very winding and no offence but lots of tourist traffic as it runs alongside Loch Ness. The scenery is a bit too nice and people often decide to stop very suddenly when they spot a parking place they can pull into to admire the view so you really need to keep your wits about you! It's also annoying as we have the largest hospital in our area right on our doorstep but I guess they have waiting lists and targets to meet. Anyhow, poor hubby didn't get home the same day after the op as he took a reaction to the anaesthetic so my daughter and I came back home without him and had to return the next day. On top of this I still had to go to work so it was all a bit stressful. Hubby is on the mend now and glad it's all behind him although he will be signed off work for a while yet. I'm now on holiday and have just about seized up and gone into lazy mode after all the excitement last week hence being late with my DT posts!
Ok, so now I've had my ramblings I'll get back to the task in hand! We have a fab challenge running over at Dream Valley Challenges - our theme this week is 'Stripes or Checks' and we are sponsored by Dr Digi!
For my DT card I've used a sponsor image called Angling Andy! I love these digis they have so much character and are great fun to colour!
I have coloured him with Promarkers to tone with my Papermania Capsule Collection papers. I've used both striped and checked papers from the pack. I've used a kraft card blank and kraft cardstock for my matting and layering. The sentiment is by Personal Impressions and I've finished off my card with a button, charm, coloured raffia and some Scrapberry pearls.
Thank you for stopping by and we'd love you to join in with the challenge.
Shona xx
