DT Card CRAFT Challenge - Inspired by a Book

Hello,

Better late than never.  Sorry to be behind with my DT duties.  I was away at a wedding at the end of last week and didn't get a chance to schedule this before I went and I've been feeling under the weather since I got back :(

So last weeks CRAFT Challenge is well under way by now but you still have a little bit of time to enter our 'Inspired by a Book' Challenge.

For this challenge we are sponsored by Scrapper's Delights who have a great prize for our winner.

For my DT card I've used a precoloured image called Robot Chip 2

I took my inspiration from the book (and film) I, Robot!

The papers and sentiment are both by Kanban.

Thank you for stopping by, hugs, Shona xx

I ♥ Promarkers DT Card - Things With Wings

Good morning!

It's Wednesday which means it's nearly Friday yay!  Is it sunny?  I'm thinking doubtful as I schedule this post! But it is time for a new challenge over at  I ♥ Promarkers and out theme this week is 'Things With Wings'.  I think this is a great theme as it gives you plenty of scope - birds, bugs, angels and fairies to name a few!  Our sponsor is QKR Stampede and they have a fab prize for our lucky winner.

I've used one of their images called Enjoying The Moment and I've coloured it, of course, with Promarkers.

The papers are some random ones that I won in a challenge some time ago I don't even know if they are all from the same pad!  I just thought they looked quite nice together.  I've matted everything on black cardstock to make the colours pop.  I've finished off my card with a sentiment from Personal Impressions, some gingham ribbon and some gems.

Thank you for stopping by.

Hugs, Shona xx

Dream Valley DT Card - Girly

Hello!

Wow, what a hectic time I've been having lately.  I feel like I just never stop.  On week nights I don't usually get sat down to relax until around 10.30pm so it's time then to do some colouring or knitting while watching something on Netflix for an hour or so before bed.  I've almost given up on watching the telly in real time lol at least this way I can miss out the adverts!  Work is getting busy too but I'm doing my best not to let myself get stressed out.

So, tonight slightly later than I should have posted it I have my DT card for Dream Valley Challenges - our theme this week is 'Girly' and our sponsor is All Dressed Up.  We'd love you to join us and you could win a prize from our sponsor.

I've gone for a gorgeous girly sponsor image called 'So Pretty' which is available from their Etsy shop here. I've coloured it with Promarkers to match my Grace Taylor Modern Cabin papers.

I've used a die set by Sue Wilson to frame the sentiment which was made using a Kanban clear stamp set.  I've trimmed my card with some tiny punched flowers and finished it off with some square gems and pearls.

Thank you for stopping by.  Please forgive me for not being around to comment much recently, I just wish there were more hours in the day!

Hugs,
Shona

I ♥ ProMarkers DT Card - Transport

Good morning!

It's Wednesday so it's new challenge time over at I ♥ ProMarkers!  This week our theme is Transport and we are sponsored by Dr Digi who have a fab prize for our lucky winner!

I've used a fun image from our sponsor called 'Summer Holiday' and it has been coloured with Promarkers of course!

I loosely followed a layout I found on Pinterest.  The papers are by Hobbycraft and were a present from a crafty pal.  I've matted everything with black cardstock to make the colours pop a bit more.  I've used a sentiment from a Personal Impressions set and finished off simply with some black gems.

That's all from me for the moment.

Hope you're having a good week.
Hugs, Shona xx

CRAFT Challenge DT Card - Christmas

Hello!

I'm finally here to share this weeks DT card for the CRAFT Challenge.  It's been a busy few days with Parent's Evening, a concert my daughter was singing in, a visit to the solicitors and all the usual mundane chores and work on top.  Anyhow I finally got a chance to blog!  Our theme this week is Christmas, so if like me you still have a lot of festive cards to make, why not join us and get ahead?

Our sponsors this week are Rick St. Dennis MFA and The Paper Shelter who have some fab prizes for our lucky winners.

I have used an image from The Paper Shelter called Snow Angel which I was lucky enough to win in one of their blog challenges.  This time for speed I've used the precoloured version but the digi comes as a set so you can also opt to colour it yourself, there is also a fab background you can use.

I've teamed the brightly coloured image with some patterned papers in non traditional Christmas colours that were a magazine freebie ages ago.  The sentiment is from a set by LOTV and I've finished off my card with some ribbon, pink pearls and glitter dome stickers.

Thank you for stopping by.

Hugs,
Shona xx

I ♥ Promarkers DT Card - Anything Goes

Hello,

Oops, I didn't get around to writing and scheduling my post as planned last night so here I am a bit late now I'm afraid.  It's been a funny day today it was warm but really overcast but by the time I left work it was really sunny and even warmer!  It's not before time of course!  Anyway to brighten things up even further we currently have a fab new challenge going at I ♥ Promarkers!  Our theme this week is everyone's favourite 'Anything Goes'!  We also have not one but two sponsors for our challenge - The Stamping Boutique and Marianne Design who have some super prizes for our lucky winners.

For my DT card I have used a super cute festive digi called Christmas Mouse which, of course, I've coloured with Promarkers.  It's a bit ironic doing a Christmas card when the weather is finally getting better but at least that's another one to put aside!

My sentiment and papers are by LOTV and I've used a Memory Box Die to mount the image on to.  The swatch die I used to make the patchwork effect with the papers is from a Spellbinders set of nesties.  My card is finished off with some spotty organza ribbon, glitter hearts and pearly hearts.

Thanks so much for stopping by,
Hugs,

Dream Valley Challenges DT Card - Father's Day

Hello!

A rarish second post from me today and another scheduled one as I will be at work when this goes live.  I will no doubt be feeling a bit Mondayish!

Anyway, I'm back to tell you about the fab new challenge we have over at Dream Valley Challenges for Father's Day!  We are sponsored by Dr Digi's House of Stamps who have a fantastic prize for our lucky winner!

For my DT card I've made a card for our daughter to give her Grandad (my Father in Law) and used a digi image from our sponsor called Cosmo Nut!  I've coloured the image with Promarkers to match the Basic Grey Little Black Dress papers.

I printed out the sentiment using MS Word and the stars were diecut using an X-cut nesting die set.  I've finished off my card with some neutral buttons and black gems.

Thank you for stopping by.

Cutie Pie DT Card - Cats & Dogs

Good morning and a Happy Monday to you!

I'm here to tell you about a fab new challenge that's just started over at the Cutie Pie Challenge Blog!  Out theme this week is Cats & Dogs, you can pick either or both for the challenge but remember it must be cute!  That shouldn't be a problem with our theme this week!

Our sponsors for the challenge are Di's Digi Downloads who have a fab prize for our lucky winner!

This time I used an image of my own which was one of the retiring stamps from LOTV.  I had a birthday card to make for a little lady who will be 3 next month so I thought this would be the ideal stamp as the birthday cake has 3 candles!

I've coloured the image with Promarkers to match the Grace Taylor/Grant Archival Modern Cabin patterned papers, which were a Hobbycraft sale bargain!  The sentiment is also LOTV.  I've finished off my card with some spotty organza ribbon, pearls and a foam number from a pack I found in Asda's kids stationery section!

Thank you for looking.

Hugs,
Shona xx

I ♥ PROMARKERS DT Card - Paper Piecing

Good morning!

Yay, it's Wednesday and as always to brighten our midweek we have a fab new challenge starting at I ♥ PROMARKERS, our theme this week is 'Paper Piecing'.  Now I just love paper piecing so this is right up my street!  Our sponsor this week is the fabulous Kenny K who have a great prize for our lucky winner!

I have chosen a fab digi called 'what if' for my sponsor image as I think it works really well with paper piecing.  I also love the 'Pop Art' style which is reminiscent of one of my alltime favourite artists Roy Lichtenstein.

This is probably the easiest image I've ever had to colour with my Promarkers!  I've paper pieced the blouse using a spotty paper from one of the Docrafts Capsule Collections.  The background papers and Pow! sentiment I've used are from a digi set I found on Etsy, the speech balloon sentiment I created myself using MS Word.  I've kept the card and layout simple with a couple of die cut circles and some black gems.

That's me for now, when this scheduled post 'goes live' I shall be trying to hurry my daughter along and get us both out of the house for school and work!!!  Neither of us are morning people so wish me luck lol!

Hello!

We have a fantastic challenge running over at the CRAFT Challenge Blog, our theme this week is Father's Day or Male.  Our sponsors are The Stamping BoutiqueThe Cutting Cafe and Karen's Doodles who have some super prizes for our lucky winners.

I picked a digi set from The Cutting Cafe for my DT card.
