Good Morning,

I'm here with a scheduled post to show you my DT card for our new challenge over at I♥Promarkers.  Our theme this week is 'Use a Number' so birthdays and anniversaries for example.  We have two fab sponsors for this challenge!  We'd love you to come and share your creations with us!

Promarkers
LOTV Bonnets & Bowties DPs

My 300th Blog Post - A Baby Shower Card

Good morning,

So this is my 300th post!  It seems to have taken me ages to get here.  I go through highs and lows with my crafting - when life takes over (working full time, looking after my family including my 89 year old aunt) sometimes crafting has to take a back seat but by the same token I need it in my life to keep me sane so sometimes it feels like a bit of a rollercoaster ride!  Anyway I'm pleased to be able to share post number 300 with you!

My card today is one I made for a friend and I to give one of our fellow Dance Moms who is expecting a baby girl in the next few weeks.  Now, I've never made a Baby Shower card before in fact I've never even been to one before last weekend as it's a relatively new thing to hit Scotland even though our Stateside friends have been having them for years!  I have to say it was a really fun afternoon, we played games like guess the size of Mum's bump, guess the number of Jelly Babies in the bottle, etc and had a lovely pink themed spread with loads of cupcakes!

I was unsure what to make for the card but I was drawn to this Saturated Canary digi called Ready to Pop!

I've coloured the image with Promarkers and used toning papers from the Recollections Valentine pad matted with kraft card.  I've also used kraft to die cut the sentiment using a Crafter's Companion sentiment die.  The card is finished off with mosaic gems, pearls and some spotty organza ribbon.

That's me for now, here's to my next 300 posts!!!

Hugs,
Shona xx

Dream Valley DT Card - Sparkle, Bling & Embellish!

Good morning,

Hope you've all had a fab Valentine's weekend?  It was pretty much business as usual in the Hamill household with our daughter's dancing etc so we decided we would make tonight our Valentine's night and I'm going to cook us a nice steak dinner and have a couple of glasses of red too!

Ok so onto my DT card for Dream Valley Challenges.  Our theme is 'Sparkle, Bling & Embellish' so a perfect excuse to go to town with loads of glitter, gems, and pile on the embellishments!  Our sponsor is Live & Love Crafts.

The DT were able to choose their own images for this challenge so I decided to have a go at this super cute digi which is a freebie from All Dressed Up.

I've coloured it with Promarkers and added a generous amount of Stardust Stickles.  I've kept up the glitter with a foam number sticker (from Tesco kids crafts section!).  The foiled paper is by Kanban and I've added co-ordinating gems and glitter domes.  The sentiment was made using a freebie stamp.

Thank you for stopping by and for any comments you leave, they're always appreciated as I know how time consuming commenting can be.

Monday hugs,
Shona xx

CAS Valentine

Hello,

Not often I make a card just because but I made an exception with this Valentine's Card for my husband.  Poor hubby has had shop bought cards for his last couple of birthdays and Christmas while I rushed to make deadlines for DT cards or for orders so I thought it was high time I made him something.  Don't get me wrong it was just something quick I knocked together following on from an idea I pinned on Pinterest but at least it's handmade with love from me!

Kraft cardblank, black and white cardstock.  Scraps of patterned paper die cut into hearts using an X-cut die.  LOTV sentiment, button and twine.

Love and hugs,
Shona xx

I ♥ Promarkers DT Card - Bingo!

Good morning,

Yay I'm on a roll another scheduled post from me written last night while I was stuffing myself full of pancakes!  This time I'm sharing my DT card for I♥Promarkers.  Our theme this fortnight is 'Bingo' and we would love you to join us!

We are sponsored by Stitchy Bear Stamps

I have used used one of the vast amount of fab digis on their website.  This one is part of the Baby Bug set from BB Kakes and I fell in love with it when I saw it!  It has been coloured, of course, with Promarkers.

I used the bingo board line (Die cut~Free (sentiment)~ Pearls)!

The papers are Springtime by Hobbycraft and I've used a sentiment from a Pink Petticoat freebie set.  Image matted on to a nestie embellished with little gems and I've added die cut corners made using a freebie die.  I do love a freebie!  My card is finished with some pearls, a ribbon bow and Star Dust Stickles on the wings.

Oh well that's pancake day over and done with for another year.  Is anyone else giving up anything for lent?  Iona and I are giving up fizzy sugary drinks (not that we drink that much of them) although I draw the line at giving up fizzy wine and beer lol!

Thanks for popping by to see what I'm up to.

Hugs,
Shona xx

Cutie Pies DT Card - All You Need Is Love

Good morning,

A scheduled post from me this morning as I'm at work.  Sadly I only have a half day left until my new leave year starts in April and that's accounted for!  Roll on the Easter holidays!!!

Anyway, I'm here to share my DT card and tell you about the fab challenge we have over at The Cutie Pie Challenge.  Our theme this time is 'All You Need Is Love' so we want you to share your Valentines, Anniversary or Wedding Cards with us or in other words share the love!  Just remember to include a cute character on your design.  Our sponsors are Paper Nest Dolls & Di's Digis.

I've used a Paper Nest Dolls digi image for my card called Love is in the Air which I've coloured with Promarkers.

The papers are all from the Me To You With Love pack and everything has been matted onto kraft cardstock.  The sentiment is by Dovecraft and I've stamped it with Versa Magic chalk ink onto more kraft card.  The filigree heart die is by X-cut and the pink hearts were make using a Sizzlits set from Stampin' Up.  My card is finished off with heart stickers, ribbon, mesh, button and baker's twine.

I've been struggling with my card making of late (probably because I've not had enough time to dedicate to it properly and also with feeling under the weather recently) but hopefully I'm starting to get my mojo back now and I'm also starting to enjoy it again.

Thank you for stopping by for a look.

Dream Valley DT Card - Valentine's Day

Hi there,

An on time scheduled post from me today yay!!!  The dreaded lurgy finally seems to have disappeared and hopefully my crafting mojo has re-appeared!  I've just not been happy with the last few cards I've made.  I even resorted to some cross stitch for a change last weekend when I was feeling poorly because I couldn't even face getting my Promarkers out!  Will pop on some pics when I get them finished off!

So back to my DT duties!  Today we start a new challenge over at Dream Valley Challenges and our theme is Valentine's Day!  We have two sponsors Robyn's Fetish and Angie's Cards & Designs.

I have chosen Love Birds from Robyn's Fetish for my DT card and have coloured the image with Promarkers.

The papers are LOTV Bonnets & Bowties and I've used my new Scalloped Border Die from the Sara Davies Signature Collection (a pay day treat to myself!) on the bottom edge.  The sentiment stamp is from a freebie set from Creativity magazine which I've cut into a banner shape.  I've finished my card with ribbon and gems.

Thank you for stopping by, hope you have a good week.
