Hello again!
Just a quick post tonight because it's late and I have work in the morning! So much for the early night I was planning...
Tonight's card is a first birthday card I made for my friend's daughter. For the layout I've used the sketch from the current I Love Promarkers challenge. I couldn't resist buying a new LOTV stamp for the occasion it's soooo cute and I know it will be one I can use again and again.
I've coloured in the image with ProMarkers to match the papers which were a freebie from Papercraft Essentials a while back. I'm trying to be good and use up some of the massive stash of freebies I've built up! I've edged the blue patterned paper with a border die from X-cut. All dies used are by X-cut too. The sentiment is also by LOTV. I've finished off my card with spotty organza ribbon, pearls and a ready made glitter number and flower combo.
Oh well, I'd better get off to bed or the snooze button will be getting hit several times in the morning!!!

Country Companions At Christmas
Good evening,
It's a very windy Inverness tonight but at least we have been lucky enough not to experience any flooding or blizzards (yet?). Hope everyone is having a good weekend. I spent a good while last night trying to get my blog sorted out with a new template but unfortunately I lost some of my gadgets/widgets??? on the way, I think I've restored most of them now though, phew! Iona and I were busy doing some card making this morning, you can see her card on her own Docrafts gallery under username Iona_Crafts, mine is below.
This is an image I coloured weeks ago and then misplaced it :( luckily enough I found it while looking for something else entirely lol. It's a Country Companions stamp from Docrafts and I've coloured it with my ProMarkers.

For the layout I've followed the sketch for the current challenge over at the Fussy & Fancy Friday Challenge. I love working from a sketch I've no idea why I don't do it more often. I've used papers from the Lucy Cromwell At Christmas range and inked all the edges with Tim Holtz Bundled Sage Distress Ink. The sentiment is also a stamp from the At Christmas range . All I've added is a button threaded with bakers twine, pearls and glitter dome stickers.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend,
Shona xx

Skating Tilda Easel
Hello,
I've been trying hard to post earlier in the evening but it's back to stupid o'clock tonight! I don't think I've much to report this week, Iona and hubby are both on holiday, it is our half term break up here at the moment. Unfortunately I don't have any time off left so I've been having to get up for work every morning while they are lazing around (usually still in bed) which doesn't exactly motivate me lol.
Anyway tonight's card. It's really strange but when I first started papercrafting a/ I didn't care much for stamping and b/ I really didn't like Tilda. Well, it just shows you how your tastes change and how your crafting develops over a period of time, I couldn't imagine not stamping now and Tilda has definitely grown on me!
I've had this stamp for several months now and hadn't got around to colouring it. It's been coloured with ProMarkers then mounted on to 3 different die cut circles, the dies are a mix of X-cut and Spellbinders. The spotty papers are Forever Friends Kraft Notes and were yet another magazine freebie. The Poinsettia die set is by Spellbinders, Precious Stars by Memory Box and the Flourish is a cheapy from Carole's Crafts.
I've made the card into a twisted easel shape just for a change and added spotty organza ribbon and a spotty fabric brad.
I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:
Cutie Pie Challenge - #63 Spots & Dots
Passion For ProMarkers - #235 Shaped Cards (mine is an easel card)
CHNCC Extra – February Anything Goes
Sister Act Challenge - #45 Anything Goes
Crafty Ribbons Challenge - #77 Anything Goes

I've stamped a Hot Off The Press sentiment onto more spotty paper and mounted it on Kraft card die cut with another Spellbinders die. The wee stars are made using X-cut nesting dies too. My card is finished with red and green gems.
Hope everyone has a fabulous Friday whatever you are up to.

60th Birthday
Good Evening,
Hope you are all having a good week and managing to stay dry wherever you are. Here in Inverness our weather hasn't been bad at all (I'm sure I'll come to regret saying that!) but you don't have to go very far south to hit the snow. The flooding further south has been horrendous and my heart goes out to everyone involved.
Tonight's card is one I made earlier in the week and was a commission for a work colleague to give her husband. The brief was for Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC colours! I do hope she was happy with the end result.

I didn't have a lot of time so I decided to base the design on a 30th card I'd made for a friend. I did however have a new chevron embossing folder from Crafter's Companion to play with so I used that with some white pearlised card for the background. The large Star-edged mat is made using a Tonic die and the blue and red stars are cut using X-cut nesting dies. The 60 and glitter stars are ready made and were purchased from Hobbycraft. I've used the same card on the inside as a mount for the sentiment which was computer generated and die cut using another X-cut die.
That's all from me for tonight, I'm soooooo tired, glad it's Friday tomorrow!

G'day Tilda
Good Morning,
Another unusually early post from me today lol! Hope everyone is having a good weekend. We had been expecting a bit of snow this weekend but it's still unseasonally mild and we even managed a trip to the park yesterday afternoon. Long may it last, although I keep thinking it will catch up with us eventually.
Today's card is made with another image I coloured in a while back. I don't know anyone who's leaving for Australia but I've been itching to colour this in since I got it! It will be handy to have in case I or anyone else ever needs it!
The Magnolia stamped image has been coloured in with Promarkers. I've used 2 papers from the Kaisercraft Sweet Pea range which are another magazine freebie! Everything has been layered up using khaki cardstock. The dies are Spellbinders lacey circles and X-cut scalloped circles. I've also included a journalling notelet behind the image from the All Aboard range, some letter stickers from the Madame Payraud range and a metal bird from the Sew Lovely range, all by Papermania. I've added khaki spotted organza ribbon and stapled on 2 shades of ric rac for added texture. I've finished off the card with a couple of pearls.
Well I'm away to get Iona ready now, she has a ten-pin bowling party for a pals birthday today. While she's there I'm planning a mooch around Hobbycraft to see what's new!

Dotty About You
Good Evening & Happy Friday folks!
Unfortunately having a nasty cold and some time off work got in the way of any midweek blogging this week. Thankfully, I felt much better today so headed to work. It's been a short week as I was just in part of Monday and today so by the time Monday comes round again I should be back on top form.
Tonight's card is a Valentine and made using a stamp I completely forgot I had. It was actually in a set given to me by my crafty pal Fiona a while back but I'd never got around to playing with it. Note to self - if craft stash was more organised I'd know exactly what I had where!

The stamp is from a Forever Friends Black & Gold set and has been coloured with Promarkers. The heart has been stamped again on the red spotty paper with a Versamark pad and heat embossed using Papermania Tinsel Red embossing powder for texture and a bit of bling. The papers are all Me To You With Love and were a magazine freebie a while back (I love my freebies don't I). The papers have all been layered with kraft card and faux stitched using a pokey tool and a Sakura Micron pen. The die cuts have all been made using X-cut nesting dies and the heart has been embossed using a dotty embossing folder. The sentiment is by LOTV and I've finished my card with spotty organza ribbon, a paper flower, pearls and gems.
Hopefully I've got caught up now with most of your blogs and left you some comments, when I was off sick the Kindle Fire came in very handy for doing that, I didn't even have to get out of bed. I'll take this opportunity to thank everyone who leaves comments for me too. It's very much appreciated as I know how much time it takes.
Enjoy your weekend whatever you're up to and hopefully see you back here soon.
Shona xx
