New Beginnings With The Cutie Pies

Good morning!

An unscheduled post from me today as I have a day off!  In Highland our schools are now off for the Easter Holidays.  I'm not taking a full week off as my teenager is not as dependant on me to keep her entertained these days lol!  Just a few odd days here and there, only working 2 days this week, 3 next, 4 the following and then back to normal full time!  We are having a day trip to Edinburgh on Friday for a little shopping and to meet up with cousins we've not seen for a while.  Really looking forward to that.

Anyway, we have a fab new challenge for you over at the Cutie Pies.  Our theme this month is 'New Beginnings' so there's plenty of scope to choose from - New Home, New Job, New Baby, etc.  Just remember to also add a cute image because we're all about the cute and cuddly!

We are sponsored by our good friends at Bugaboo who have a fantastic prize for our winner.

I've used one of their digi images called Hang In There Dog and coloured it with Promarkers.  As you can see I've used it for a New Baby card but you could also use it for a Get Well/Thinking of You card amongst others.

Materials Used:
Digi Stamp - Bugaboo Hang In There Dog
Promarkers
Papers - Dovecraft Back To Basics True Blue
Border Punch - Fiskars Threading Water
Sentiment Stamp - Personal Impressions Paula Pascual Big Sentiments
Cardstock, Button and Twine all from Stash

Thanks for stopping by and for any comments you leave.  It's greatly appreciated.

Love and hugs,
Shona xx

Holly and Ivy Christmas Challenge

Good afternoon,

Or should that be crafternoon?  It's been a while since I did any daytime crafting in fact apart from my weekly outing to craft club I'm not doing very much at all sadly.   I'm still struggling with fatigue caused by my heart meds although on the whole it's not quite as bad as it was.

I've quickly hopped into blogland to share my DT card for the Holly and Ivy Christmas Challenge.   It's a bit late but there's still a few days left to enter the challenge.

I've taken a break off the colouring and made a very simple card this time with some Hobbycraft papers and toppers I picked up in their sale.

I finally succumbed to buying a guillotine and that helped me create the layout.   I really don't know how I've managed with only a rotary blade paper trimmer for so long!

Thanks for stopping by.

My First Box Card for The Holly & Ivy Christmas Challenge

Hello,

Sorry I'm a wee bit late posting this.  I'm sharing my DT card for the latest challenge over at the Holly & Ivy Christmas Challenge and it's my very first attempt at making a box card!

I cheated a little as I bought some pre-scored card blanks at a craft show, although I did adjust them to make a different height as I wanted to use 6 x 6 papers!  I think I did an ok job although there's definitely room for improvement!

Materials Used:
Papers & Stickers Snow Cool by Hobbycraft
Cardstock, twine & buttons from stash

Thanks for stopping by.

I've used a cute image called Georgie for my DT card.

Holly & Ivy Christmas Challenge DT Card

Good evening,

I'm delighted to share with you the news that I've been accepted back on to the Holly & Ivy Christmas Challenge Design Team.  I've had a year out due to personal issues including my health but felt the time was right to re-apply and I'm now sharing my DT card for the latest challenge which you can find here.  The challenge is just for fun but we do have top picks and the theme is always anything Christmas goes!

For my DT card I've gone with an old favourite LOTV rubber stamp and coloured it with Promarkers.  The papers are magazine freebies which have been in my stash forever.  I don't think I've got any other crafty news apart from I'm taking part in a de-stash sale this weekend to try to get rid of some excess bits and bobs and who knows I might pick up some bargains of my own...

Materials used:
LOTV stamp - James With Cracker
Promarkers
LOTV sentiment stamp
Papers - magazine freebies
Cardstock, buttons & twine from stash

Thanks for stopping by.
