CRAFT Challenge DT Card - A Recipe

Hello again,

I've had quite a busy time since I was on here earlier.  My daughter and I met up with a friend and her daughter and we went to the cinema to see Inside Out.  We all really enjoyed it and I did my usual and had a bit of a cry (can't help myself lol).  By the time it finished the rain had started so instead of going to the park as planned we visited an indoor soft play place.  The girls had great fun and were good company for each other while us mums enjoyed a coffee and a natter!

I'm back this evening to share my DT card for the current CRAFT Challenge.  This week we have a recipe for you:

And our sponsor is:

I have used a sponsor image called Coco The Bride for my DT card.  You can find Sunflowerfield on Facebook here.

I have coloured the image using Promarkers to match my papers which are from another Lidl paper pad.  I've used squares cut from 2 of the papers and I fussy cut the lacey border from another.  The sentiment is by LOTV and my card is finished simply with pearls and a ribbon bow.

That's me for tonight, thank you for stopping by.

Hugs, Shona xx

DT Card - Dream Valley Challenges - Stripes or Checks

Hello,

I'm a bit late with my DT post.  Last week was a bit of a mad one for me.  My husband had to travel 66 miles away for a day case op in the Highland town of Fort William.  It's a lovely little place but not a very nice road there, very winding and no offence but lots of tourist traffic as it runs alongside Loch Ness.  The scenery is a bit too nice and people often decide to stop very suddenly when they spot a parking place they can pull into to admire the view so you really need to keep your wits about you!  It's also annoying as we have the largest hospital in our area right on our doorstep but I guess they have waiting lists and targets to meet.  Anyhow, poor hubby didn't get home the same day after the op as he took a reaction to the anaesthetic so my daughter and I came back home without him and had to return the next day.  On top of this I still had to go to work so it was all a bit stressful.  Hubby is on the mend now and glad it's all behind him although he will be signed off work for a while yet.  I'm now on holiday and have just about seized up and gone into lazy mode after all the excitement last week hence being late with my DT posts!

Ok, so now I've had my ramblings I'll get back to the task in hand!  We have a fab challenge running over at Dream Valley Challenges - our theme this week is 'Stripes or Checks' and we are sponsored by Dr Digi!

For my DT card I've used a sponsor image called Angling Andy!  I love these digis they have so much character and are great fun to colour!

I have coloured him with Promarkers to tone with my Papermania Capsule Collection papers.  I've used both striped and checked papers from the pack.  I've used a kraft card blank and kraft cardstock for my matting and layering.  The sentiment is by Personal Impressions and I've finished off my card with a button, charm, coloured raffia and some Scrapberry pearls.

Thank you for stopping by and we'd love you to join in with the challenge.

CRAFT Challenge - Wish You Were Here

Hello,

Apologies I'm very late again things are so busy just now at work and home I've hardly had a minute to myself!

Anyway, we have a 'Wish You Were Here' themed challenge running over at the CRAFT Challenge this week and we'd love you to join in!  Our sponsors are Robyn's Fetish and Digital Delights.

I've used a Robyn's Fetish image for my DT card - this one is called Beach Kitty.  I've coloured it with Promarkers.

I've used just one paper from a huge pad I bought in LIDL some time back.  It's a bit busy so I've kept the layout very simple with just a twine tied button and a computer generated sentiment.

Thank you for stopping by.  I'm hoping normal crafting service will be resumed once I'm on holiday next week.

I ♥ Promarkers DT Card - Clean & Simple

Good morning,

It's Wednesday again so that means we have a fab new challenge over at I ♥ Promarkers!  Our theme this week is CAS (Clean and Simple) and we would love you to join us.  Our sponsor is Eureka stamps who have provided the DT with digi images for our projects.

I've used one of their fab images called Dog Pile for my card, coloured, of course, with Promarkers.

As the theme is CAS I've kept my card very simple.  I've used some tartan paper from the Christmas Boofle collection matted on to green cardstock.  Stamped a sentiment using a Lucy Cromwell stamp and finished off with a couple of buttons.  It's nice to make something a bit different from my usual style and I'm quite happy with how it's turned out.

Thanks for stopping by.

Dream Valley DT Card - Embossing Wet or Dry

Hi there,

Wow, back to stupid o'clock posting from me!  I've just been watching the last episode of Sons of Anarchy and I'm so emotional now.  I'm such a wuss I cry at anything and everything but it was a sad ending so I think I'm justified in this case!

Ok, back to the business bit... We have a great challenge running over at Dream Valley and we'd love you to join us.  Our theme is Embossing (wet or dry) and we have 2 sponsors for this challenge!

I've used a topper from The Hobby House.  This one is from the Spring Bringer collection by Sylvia Zet.  To follow our theme I've embossed the edge of the topper and sentiment using the frantage technique.  The frantage mix was given to me ages ago to try out but I never plucked up the courage to try it out before now.  I think it is by Stampendous the lady just gave me a little bit in a tub so I'm not 100% sure.  Wow, I think I'm hooked!  I love the look and texture this achieves, I wish I hadn't left it so long to try out now!

The papers are by My Minds Eye (shhh they are actually Christmas ones!) and the sentiment is by personal Impressions.  I've added some Hobby House heart shaped pearls and some turquoise pearls as well as some spotty ribbon to finish off my card.

That's all from me tonight, back tomorrow morning with a scheduled post.

Hugs, Shona xx

I ♥ Promarkers DT Card - Pets!

Good morning,

I think I'm finally caught up with my DT work again and I'm feeling a little more organised hence this scheduled post!

I'm here to tell you about the fab new challenge over at  I ♥ Promarkers, our theme this week is 'Pets' and we are sponsored by the fabulous Just Inklined who have provided the DT with some of their gorgeous digis to use on our cards.

I chose one called Scamp Special Delivery which I've coloured (of course) with my Promarkers.

I've used three papers from my Dovecraft Curiosity Corner paper stack and matted everything on kraft cardstock.  I've added a punched border to one of the mats using an EK Success paw print border punch.  To finish my card I've added some spotty buttons from the Gorjuss collection, gems, heart shaped pearls and brown gingham ribbon.

Thank you so much for stopping by and be sure to join in the challenge at I ♥ ProMarkers!

Hugs, Shona xx

DT Card Cutie Pies - Cute As A Button

Hello again,

If you saw my earlier post you will know I'm a bit behind with my DT posts due to a busy time at work.  Apologies to my Cutie Pie Teamies for being a little late this month.

Ok, so back to business.  We have just started a new challenge over at The Cutie Pie Challenge Blog, our theme this month is Cute as a Button so we'd love to see some buttons on your card along with a cute character image as always!

We have 2 amazing sponsors Bugaboo and The Hobby House!

I've used a fab Bugaboo image, Chibi Flower Pot Peeker for my DT card which I've coloured with Promarkers.

The papers are from yet another magazine freebie pad and have been layered up with black cardstock.  The sentiment is by Personal Impressions and I've added buttons, ribbon and gems to finish off my card.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by and for any comments you leave.

Hugs, Shona x
