DT Card CRAFT Challenge - Thank You!

Good Evening,

I'm afraid I've hit this time of year again when things get really mad at work.  We have a big deadline every year of 31July and every year it gets a bit manic once we hit July!

Apologies to my CRAFT Teamies for being so late in posting my card.  Our theme is 'Thank You' and we are being sponsored by A Day For Daisies and Great Impressions this week.

I've used a gorgeous digi called Fox Nap from A Day For Daisies for my DT card.

I've coloured it with Promarkers and used several papers from a Wild Rose Studio freebie pack.  The sentiment is by Personal Impressions.  I've finished off my card with gems and organza ribbon.

Thank you for stopping by,
Shona x

I ♥ Promarkers DT Card - Sport

Good morning!

This dratted cold is still with me - I'm just sick of it now, I've wasted enough time feeling under the weather and I have lots of things I need to be getting on with.  So, PLEASE let it go away soon and let me get back to normal!!!

Anyways, my post today is to tell you we have a new challenge over at I ♥ Promarkers and our theme this week is 'Sport'.  We'd love you to join us - you could be lucky enough to win a prize from our sponsor Yours or Mine Papercrafts.

I've gone for Football for my sport and given one of my LOTV stamps it's first inking.  This image is called Football Shirt Bear and I've coloured it with Promarkers.  I've done the shirt in Manchester United colours, their number 7 shirt has famously been worn by David Beckham, Eric Cantona and George Best so the bear is in good company!!!

The papers I've used are We Are Memory Keepers Travel Light and I've matted everything with black cardstock (my current favourite style - you've probably noticed!) and the sentiment is by Personal Impressions.  I've kept the embellishments simple as it's a male card and just added two die cut stars topped with buttons.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Hugs, Shona xx

Dream Valley DT Card - Distressing!

Good Morning,

Monday again, I've had a long weekend as I had a day off on Friday so it's taken a little longer to come round than usual just not long enough lol!  The dreaded lurgy is still with me I'm afraid, I thought I was better on Friday and I even managed to go swimming and organise a barbecue but then it all started again at night and I was rudely awakened by a really annoying cough at 5.30 am.  Still, I'm feeling much better than I was and have enjoyed getting on with some crafting.

Ok, back to business...  Today I'm sharing my DT card for Dream Valley Challenges - our theme this fortnight is 'Distressing' so we'd love you to join us, you could be lucky enough to win a prize from our sponsor Robyn's Fetish.

I've used a sponsor image called Farah Fawn.  I've printed out the image several times then coloured each with Promarkers before decoupaging to give the image some depth.  Apologies for my photograph it's made the image look a bit washed out, the light was really bad here yesterday as we had some torrential rain.

For my distressing I roughed up all the edges of my papers and cardstock using the edge of a scissors.  I know you get distressing tools but this technique works fine for me!  I mounted my decoupaged image onto some embossed cardstock for some texture.  The papers are Papermania Capsule Collection and the sentiment is by Personal Impressions.  I've finished off my card with some gingham ribbon and a twine tied button.

Thank you so much for stopping by, hope you have a great week.

I ♥ Promarkers DT Card - Summer

Good morning!

I'm afraid as I schedule this I still have the dreaded lurgy.  Sore throat, dizzyness, nausea - you get the picture.  All this during a heatwave (high 20s today - that's a lot for the North of Scotland!) makes it almost unbearable.  Unfortunately crafting is taking a bit of a back seat for a few more days until I get back to feeling up to scratch.

So... the real reason I'm here is to share my DT make for this week's I ♥ Promarkers challenge!  Our theme this week appropriately enough is 'Summer' and we'd love you to join us with your summery makes!  Our sponsor is Stitchy Bear who have a great prize for our winner this week.  Be sure to check out their page here as they have an extaordinary amount of fab images

I've used one of their digi images - Tammy Tween - Just Chillin' by Digi Blessings.  As usual I've coloured it with Promarkers.  This time I've gone for a little gift bag instead of a card for a change.

The papers are Fancy Pants Beach Babe and were a magazine freebie a while back.  I've set everything off against black cardstock and echoed the black with the Tim Holtz letter stickers for the sentiment.  I've added some black gems and some ribbons to finish off my bag.

That's me for now.

Hope to be back with you soon once I get rid of the dreaded lurgy!

Shona xx

DT Card CRAFT Challenge - Inspired by a Book

Hello,

Better late than never.  Sorry to be behind with my DT duties.  I was away at a wedding at the end of last week and didn't get a chance to schedule this before I went and I've been feeling under the weather since I got back :(

So last weeks CRAFT Challenge is well under way by now but you still have a little bit of time to enter our 'Inspired by a Book' Challenge.

For this challenge we are sponsored by Scrapper's Delights who have a great prize for our winner.

For my DT card I've used a precoloured image called Robot Chip 2

I took my inspiration from the book (and film) I, Robot!

The papers and sentiment are both by Kanban.

Thank you for stopping by, hugs, Shona xx

I ♥ Promarkers DT Card - Things With Wings

Good morning!

It's Wednesday which means it's nearly Friday yay!  Is it sunny?  I'm thinking doubtful as I schedule this post! But it is time for a new challenge over at  I ♥ Promarkers and out theme this week is 'Things With Wings'.  I think this is a great theme as it gives you plenty of scope - birds, bugs, angels and fairies to name a few!  Our sponsor is QKR Stampede and they have a fab prize for our lucky winner.

I've used one of their images called Enjoying The Moment and I've coloured it, of course, with Promarkers.

The papers are some random ones that I won in a challenge some time ago I don't even know if they are all from the same pad!  I just thought they looked quite nice together.  I've matted everything on black cardstock to make the colours pop.  I've finished off my card with a sentiment from Personal Impressions, some gingham ribbon and some gems.

Thank you for stopping by.

Hugs, Shona xx

Dream Valley DT Card - Girly

Hello!

Wow, what a hectic time I've been having lately.  I feel like I just never stop.  On week nights I don't usually get sat down to relax until around 10.30pm so it's time then to do some colouring or knitting while watching something on Netflix for an hour or so before bed.  I've almost given up on watching the telly in real time lol at least this way I can miss out the adverts!  Work is getting busy too but I'm doing my best not to let myself get stressed out.

So, tonight slightly later than I should have posted it I have my DT card for Dream Valley Challenges - our theme this week is 'Girly' and our sponsor is All Dressed Up.  We'd love you to join us and you could win a prize from our sponsor.

I've gone for a gorgeous girly sponsor image called 'So Pretty' which is available from their Etsy shop here. I've coloured it with Promarkers to match my Grace Taylor Modern Cabin papers.

I've used a die set by Sue Wilson to frame the sentiment which was made using a Kanban clear stamp set.  I've trimmed my card with some tiny punched flowers and finished it off with some square gems and pearls.

Thank you for stopping by.  Please forgive me for not being around to comment much recently, I just wish there were more hours in the day!

Hugs,
Shona
